COCONUT MILK & TURMERIC POPSICLES
Ayurveda usually advises against very cold or frozen foods, as they can disrupt our agni, or digestive fire. However, on a hot summer day, a cooling treat can be a great way to keep fiery Pitta in check.
Consider this a summertime version of Golden Milk. Adding a touch of black pepper and cardamom will help balance the chill, while coconut milk keeps it cool and hydrating.
Ingredients
Makes 6 popsicles
2 cups full-fat coconut milk
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
pinch ground pepper
2 TB maple syrup
InSTRUCTIONS
Mix the coconut milk, Turmeric, cardamom, black pepper, and maple syrup in a blender, blending on low until combined.
Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
Pour the mixture evenly into the popsicle molds and place in the freezer until set, at least 4-6 hours. Enjoy in the sun on a hot day!
