FAQs

which facial is best for me?

At Marma, each facial is designed to address not just your skin, but your overall wellbeing—balancing the nervous system, supporting lymphatic flow, and offering deep relaxation. Choosing the right facial depends on what you’re looking for:

  • Foundational Care – Ideal for new clients, maintenance, or a moment of calm. These shorter sessions focus on gentle touch, hydration, and overall skin support. Perfect if you want a restorative pause or are exploring holistic facial care.

  • Nourishing Rituals – A deep, immersive experience combining facial work with breath, scalp massage, ritual, and luxury botanical products. Ideal if you want a sensory reset and an indulgent escape.

  • Sculpting + Well-Aging – For those seeking natural lift, improved contour, and lymphatic support. These longer, massage-based facials incorporate sculpting massage, lymphatic drainage, and LED or LYMA laser to enhance radiance and support graceful aging.

Not sure which is right? You’re welcome to send me an email — I’ll guide you to the experience that meets your skin, your nervous system, and your sense of calm.

how should i prepare for my facial?

For the best experience, please arrive well-hydrated and at least one hour after your last meal. To support deep relaxation, avoid excessive caffeine—I’ll do the same!

Please refrain from waxing, retinols, exfoliation, or peels for at least a week before your appointment. If you’ve had Botox or fillers, it’s best to wait at least four weeks before scheduling your facial.

how often should i come in?

Holistic skin therapy works best as part of a consistent self-care routine. The ideal frequency varies—some guests come in twice a month, while others align their visits with the seasons. My goal is to understand your skin’s unique needs and help you cultivate a home care ritual that is both effective and deeply rejuvenating.

is it okay to remain silent during my treatment?

At Marma, skin therapy is performed in silence to encourage relaxation and presence. We’ll communicate as needed, but once you’re settled, this is your time to fully unwind and receive. Silence allows for deeper connection and enhances the benefits of your treatment.

should i tip?

Your investment in these treatments reflects the full value of the care provided, and your continued presence and commitment to your own well-being is the greatest gift. Gratuities are not expected, though if you feel moved to offer something extra, it will always be received with gratitude. A beautiful way to show appreciation is by leaving a Google review or referring a loved one.

running late?

To allow for a smooth transition, please arrive 5–10 minutes early. If you arrive late, your treatment time will be adjusted accordingly, as I cannot extend sessions into another client’s appointment. Arrivals after 20 minutes will be considered a no-show and billed at 100%. Thank you for your understanding!

what is the cancellation policy?

Your time is valuable, and so is mine. As a solo practitioner, Marma is both my passion and my livelihood, and I kindly ask that cancellations be made with mindfulness and respect. Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing contagious symptoms, including cold sores, please cancel your appointment. I am not able to provide treatment in cases of illness, and arriving with symptoms will result in a full-service charge. This ensures health and wellbeing for everyone.

Cancellations within 48 hours will be charged 50% of the appointment fee.

No-shows will be billed at 100% of the appointment fee.

I am unable to provide refunds or credit toward future services.

Please book with care, knowing this policy ensures fairness, clarity, and respect for both of us. You may always reach out with questions.
