ojas-supporting date smoothie
A grounding, nourishing blend to support vitality, skin hydration, and deep nourishment of the body’s tissues.
Dates are considered deeply building in Ayurveda—naturally sweet, grounding, and rich in minerals that support energy and tissue replenishment.
When combined with warming spices, healthy fats, and milk or plant milk, this smoothie helps:
nourish Ojas (vital essence)
support hormonal balance and reproductive vitality
hydrate and soften tissues (including skin)
stabilize energy and reduce depletion
It is especially supportive during times of stress, fatigue, or dryness in the body or skin, and may also be enjoyed as a post-intimacy rejuvenation tonic to gently restore energy, hydration, and Ojas.
Ingredients
3–5 soft Medjool dates, pitted
1 cup warm almond milk or whole milk
1 tbsp almond butter or ghee
½ banana (optional for extra creaminess)
¼ tsp cinnamon
Small pinch cardamom
Small pinch of sea salt
Optional: 1 tsp chia seeds or flax seeds
Optional: 1–2 soaked cashews for richness
instructions
Soak dates in warm water for 5–10 minutes if they are firm.
Add all ingredients to a blender.
Blend until smooth, warm, and creamy.
Pour into a glass or cup and drink slowly—ideally without rushing.
